Everything we do at Ashtary Design—from networking to programming to—is unified by design.

Design is a discipline that involves planning, function, form, and the needs of people. Good design addresses all of these aspects and allows them to shape the final product. In this way, design becomes a forum for communication.

Building a house is a useful metaphor for what we do at Ashtary Design.

Project Management. When you build a house, someone needs to oversee and understand the entire process. That person will ensure that each part of the project is done according to the standards that you want. That person works with you to articulate your needs, plan for their execution, and hire contractors to complete each phase of the project. (Project Management and Consulting)

Research. You need to know as much as you can about that land: what it is made of, if there is water, its topology, how it connects to the city's electrical and sewage systems, and any regulations that may apply to the land. (Research)

Planning. Once you understand the land, you need to know what kind of house to build. You will need to know who will live there, what they will do there. You will want to see a drawing of the house and plans for its construction. (Target Audience Focus, Interaction and Information Design)

Interior and Exterior Design. Once the plans are ready, you will want to know what kinds of materials are required for the construction of the house and how the construction will proceed. At this point, you might want to start planning the interior and exterior design of your house. (Visual Design and Data Flow Planning)

Construction. During the construction phase, you will want to inspect its quality to ensure that you are getting what you were promised. (Production and Quality Control)

Move In. Finally, you get to move in. There may be some adjustments necessary once you have moved in, but if the plan was good, those adjustments should be minor. (Support & Training)

Ashtary Design has experience working at each phase of the project. This process is similar whether you are building a website or visual brand for an organization or product. All involve, project management, research, design that focuses on the target audience, and production and quality control.
