Web systems

When we use the term "web systems," we are referring to dynamic sites that provide information when and where it is needed. We don't think of a website as a series of pages, we think of it as a system.

This is why it is important for us to understand the target audience for a website. It is only by understanding the audience that we can understand how a site needs to work in order to satisfy that audience.

For instance, one of our clients has an audience that rarely uses a computer. Most do not have computers at home. We have to design a site that is clear and easy to use: one that does not make any assumptions about knowledge of web conventions. In addition, we have to help our client set-up public kiosks for people to use. If you return to this site in a few months, we should have some samples of our design up for public viewing.

Web Systems

Research and design are necessary to properly identify the problem that needs to be solved. The research and design process give a form to a problem that makes it easier for all parties involved to understand.
